#030 Movies of lives

Few days back, channel 5 was showing the movie Mr. Bean's Holiday. If I'm not wrong, this is the second "Mr. Bean" movie. I watched it about 3-4 years ago when I'm still in JC, together with Jia Yu and Kenneth Goh.

The movie finishes with a happy ending that Bean (Rowan Atkinson)finally reaches the beach that he long wanted to go, the lost kid (Max Baldry) finally reunion with his parents, and the lady (Emma De Caunes) became famous from the movie which was edited by Bean.

It is often that whenever a movie or a series show finally come to an end, especially happy ending, I will have a weird mixture of feelings. Similar to why I wrote #018 完美结局, endings of Mr. Bean's Holiday inspired me to write this post.

The ending gave me a feeling of accomplishment, that finally he reaches the beach.
Also some sort of envy, that despite his unique behaviour and characteristic, the misunderstanding (kidnapping the kid) was finally resolved and he made several new friends in France.
Happiness too, to see everything finally went well and everyone had their wishes came true.
But mainly is the feeling of sadness, ending of the movie implies that soon i will have to leave the movie theater, face the reality and carry on with life.

I'm not saying that i have a miserable life, but life isn't like in some of the movies (assume the movie is 90min), you know when the climax is approaching (about 60+min) and knowing that it will be a happy ending eventually (at the end of 90min).
Of course, here I'm talking about typical cartoon movies and lighthearted comedy movies. Not Inception that kind.

Life is a continuous, unpredictable and ever-changing movie. Why ever-changing? Your very existence affects other movies (other people's life) and so do other movies around you changes your point of view in life.

Though our movies are not as short as 90min, nor they have no endings. We never know when will our movies end, and how well will our sequels (next generations) will continue. We never know when and how many climax are there in our movies, and how they will turn out.

With so much uncertainty in life, what can we achieve in our movies of lives?
I don't know.

But what i know is, we must make our one and only movie the best, and show other movies that how we made our movie worth existing. Hoping to inspired the sequels to be more exciting and meaningful.

Should I rate my current own movie, i would say 8.5/10. A movie worth watching.
How about you?

#029 Final Fantasy VII - wallpapers V

Continued from Final Fantasy VII - wallpapers IV.

Since this post only have one last character to introduce, I just add another 2 pictures that shows all the characters' faces. Actually the faces doesn't really have much significant, its the clothings and the weapons that they use make them standout.

Sephiroth, the primary antagonist for Final Fantasy VII. This picture is the signature for Sephiroth, when he learnt the truth about his idenity, he went crazy and started slaughting and burning down Nibelheim, and this scene was Sephiroth walking into the sea of fire after wiping out Cloud's hometown.

Actually Sephiroth is also rather a tragic character, ever since he was born, he never seen his mother, Lucrecia Crescent. He was told that his mother's name is Jenova. Since young he knows that he is different from others - white hair, extrodinary strength and physical. (More details of his story was mentioned in Crisis Core, here i shall not say too much about his story)

In fact, from what I see, in the originial Final Fantasy VII, Sephiroth wasn't created as a left-handed person. For most of the scenes in FF7, Sephiroth actually uses right-hand. It is until Advent Children, then he and his remnants were "officially" recognised as left-handers.

Sephiroth has his own charisma, which make many guys (including me) to like him. Strangly why would I "like" a GUY, with LONG WHITE hair? I myself can't put it in words to explain.

Actually most of the ficitional characters that I like are "Villians", as in they are not those upright, holy, justice person. Beside Sephiroth, I do like Asakura Hao from Shaman King, which also has long hair, and Alucard from Hellsing, which also has long hair (at times).

They all shared several things in common, they are ficitional characters "made-in-japan", they all are very strong, and they know clearly what they want and often they remain calm and cool in most situations. Well, that all I have to say. Hope you like that pictures that I posted. From left to right - Cait Sith, Aeris, Vincent, Yuffie, Red XIII (foremost), Cloud, Cid, Tifa, Barret.

Last but not least, Sephiroth.

Maybe I will post their picture from Advent Children next time...
